Privacy Policy
Plain words, no tricks.
What we keep
- Your account: username, email, display name, bio and a secure hash of your password (never the password itself).
- What you create: comments, reactions, saved stories, tags, notes and suggestions. Tags and notes are private and only you can see them.
- Reading history: the stories you opened while logged in, so we can mark them as read. You can clear it any time.
- Security: the browsers you confirmed with a code, and the network address used, so we can keep your account safe.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a device cookie to remember a browser you confirmed with a code. We do not use advertising cookies. The sign up page uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop robots.
We email you codes to confirm your email and your logins. We send the Daily Briefing only if you turn it on, and you can turn it off in your account.
Your choices
You can change your details, clear your history, or delete your account and all its data from your account page at any time.

Stories link to the publishers' own websites. Their privacy rules apply there.
