Bexar County commissioners received an update Tuesday on reforms approved in August to address concerns about inmate deaths and medical care at the county jail, including changes to health screenings, expanded behavioral health and substance use treatment, and programs aimed at diverting people from incarceration.
The Bexar County judge-elect will be included in the process as a "voice for the future of Bexar County."
