Families remember victims killed in Deep Ellum Halloween shootings
Families say Kanisea Scott, 21, and Quincy McCleary were among 4 killed in Deep Ellum’s Halloween shootings. A cousin who was there describes the chaos.
As of Sunday evening, Dallas police said they were still searching for suspects and for what prompted the violence in three separate early morning shootings in Deep Ellum.
Four people were killed and 15 were injured, police said.
The violence came after years of expanded safety efforts, including putting more officers on the streets in that neighborhood.
Two public safety meetings are planned for this week — one Wednesday for the general public and another Friday for the business community.
