Every Abstraction Leaks. Generative AI Is No Exception.
Joel Spolsky gave us the Law of Leaky Abstractions years ago, and it lands hard on the newest layer in software development: generative AI. When you prompt a model to produce code, it builds an abstraction over the implementation. You get working functionality without touching the underlying logic. Great, until the day it breaks.
