HoopoeLinux is an Ubuntu-based desktop Linux distribution featuring the Cinnamon desktop. It is developed by Ubuntushop.biz, a Belgium-based company that builds a range of privacy-oriented computers that are pre-installed with one of the popular Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Debian, Manjaro, Linux Mint and HoopoeLinux. The distribution comes with several privacy tools, such as AnonSurf (an anonymous mode wrapper to force connections through Tor), Tractor Carburetor (a module for bypassing any VPN ban), Invisible Internet Project (I2P, an encrypted private network layer), and privacy components developed by Kali Linux, Kodachi and Tails. The project also provides its own Tor relay.
