WHO seeks clarity from Russia about suspected plague death, possible second case
The World Health Organization says Russia must explain the death of a woman from a suspected case of pneumonic plague and whether there is an additional case.
The Russian state health agency Rospotrebnadzor and the governor of the Siberian region of Irkutsk announced on Thursday that authorities had completed all quarantine and monitoring measures following the suspicious death of a laboratory worker and found no trace of the spread of pneumonic plague.
