Show HN: World Watcher – a map to seamlessly watch public webcam streams

World Watcher is an interactive map of live webcams around the world, that prioritizes smooth UX and correct geolocation of cameras. The idea is to have a better experience of navigating live webcam streams that are publicly available on YouTube. There were already a few livecam aggregators out there that include a map, but I found none of them satisfying to use, as they always require you to open new pages to watch the streams. On World Watcher, you can jump from place to place seamlessly.New streams are added to the map regurlarly. Dead streams are removed/replaced within hours. You can filter the streams by type of place or features, for example beaches or cams with audio. And if you don't know where to go, just try out the Explore button and go on a journey. The project started getting noticed last month, and has been shared around on social media. Frank Jacobs wrote a very nice article about it on his online column Strange Maps.[1]Have fun exploring![1] https://bigthink.com/strange-maps/webcam-maps-are-back/
