Feds charge shop clerk, son with selling illegal kratom after 2 Ole Miss deaths
Federal authorities investigating the deaths of two University of Mississippi students have charged a store clerk and his son with selling an illegal kratom product.
A defense attorney for the two men accused of selling narcotics stemming from the Sept. 21 deaths of Aidan Hamilton, 18, and Robert Strang, 20, revealed in Mississippi federal court Friday that one student died from combined use of various substances, including cough syrup, and the other from inhalation asphyxiation.
