Show HN: Donut Browser, the most private anti-detect browser

By andrewzeno 1 min read 2 views 0 comments

Hi everyone!About 2 years ago, I began to work on Donut Browser as a tool to manage browser profiles, which over time has evolved into a proper anti-detect browser.Anti-detect browsers let you create browser profiles that look like as if you have a completely different computer. I believe Donut is the most private anti-detect browser because:
- It has no telemetry and doesn't track your browsing activity
- It spoofs your browser identity in a way that looks like a real device for every profile
- It notifies you when a website takes a snapshot of your browser identity
- It is built on top of Chromium and lets you block ads and trackers at the DNS level without relying on Manifest V2
- It lets you create unlimited profiles (the first anti-detect browser to do that)
- It supports Linux, which not all anti-detect browsers do!I use Donut as my main browser and the only other browser I have installed is Tor. If you are into privacy, it offers a lot better experience than Firefox containers or writing your own scripts to manage profiles! If anyone is going to try it, would love to hear any feedback!
