Show HN: Vibetown – public sandboxes to vibecode with strangers

By nickmarch31 1 min read 2 views 0 comments

Vibetown is a site where you can create a public sandbox (shoutout fly.io sprites / machines) that anyone can contribute to with their AI agents. You can also get matched with a random person in a sandbox to vibe code with them, and if you like what you built then you can open it up and keep it running! Think of it something like twitch meets lovable. There is a chat in each room, along with a localhost preview. People take turns connecting their Claude Code subscriptions and making any changes to the app. Sandboxes automatically go to sleep after a while, but can be woken up.
It's completely free because right now I'm only supporting frontend apps. Use it to create art or cool websites without anything fancy. In the future, I will add database, AI (api), and other integrations. The short-term goal is just to see how people collaborate with strangers on public apps. The long-term goal is to make it possible for indie devs to build fully working apps with others that actually generate revenue.Let me know what you think! I have 4 public sandboxes running right now that anyone can hop in and contribute to.
