Mobile laboratories offer hope in Congo’s devastating Ebola outbreak

Inside the mobile laboratory in Butembo, an Ebola hot spot in eastern Congo, the hum of fans nearly drowned out team manager Michel Ngimba’s voice. Under fluorescent lighting, a technician from Congo’s National Institute of Biomedical Research worked tediously through a glovebox to prepare blood samples for Ebola testing.
