My phone ran Skyrim at 60 fps, and it wasn’t even streaming
Your phone can play games. You already know this if you’ve perused an app store in the last 15 years, or seen the absolute dregs of YouTube advertising. But did you know…
I first tried to play Megabonk on my Mac with Wine 11.0 and DXMT 0.80.After successfully playing it, I thought it would be great to make a packaged app - a one-click installer - so non-developer users can also easily play Windows Steam games on mac.Pear is a free, open-source macOS app that sets up a Windows Steam environment on Apple Silicon. It handles runtime setup and launching Steam. You sign in through Valve's Steam client, then install and play games you own.The current release is 0.1.1 and requires Apple Silicon, macOS 15 or later, and Rosetta. Only Megabonk has been tested.I also wrote about the development process and architecture, with gameplay and app demo videos. https://postmelee.github.io/pear/blog/running-megabonk-on-an...Source: https://github.com/postmelee/pearI'd appreciate feedback on first-run setup, Steam login, and results from y'all
