Show HN: Render your Windows desktop GUI on the NPU

Hi HN, a kind of funny project we've been hacking on for a couple of weeks.We wanted to see if it was possible to get Windows into using the NPU like a GPU, and compositing the desktop GUI.Why?Well the longer-term idea is to free up the GPU as much as possible so eventually, you could have more GPU free for AI inference.By offloading the work to the NPU we did manage to bring 3D GPU usage down from 3.4% to 0.6%... but at a large expense to performance (you will get 1.6 FPS doing this).All of this was tested on an Intel NPU on a Panther Lake machine.Check it out and let me know your thoughts!
