AI Agents Need an Identity Plane: Rethinking Enterprise Authorization for Autonomous Software

Here's the security problem in enterprise AI I'd lose sleep over, and it isn't a model giving a wrong answer. It's a model connected to an identity with enough authority to act on that answer.

Think about what an agent really is once it can query a database, call an infrastructure API, update a ticket, and kick off a workflow. It isn't a chat window anymore. It's software that executes things, with credentials, on its own. Most companies still secure it like a web app with a fancy text box. I think that gap is where a lot of future incidents will start.
