Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political bloc and its main rival appear short of a parliamentary majority, according to exit polls released Tuesday. The results could trigger weeks of negotiations among political parties to form a governing coalition. The election was widely seen as a referendum on Netanyahu’s leadership following the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, attack and the wars that followed.
