Fort Worth-based country singer Pat Green has become only the second musician in history to record an album in Luckenbach Dancehall, one of Texas' most legendary venues. The finished album will go on sale Friday, November 13, according to a release.
Live from the Center of the Known Universe: Luckenbach Texas was recorded in the iconic Hill Country dance hall over two nights, November 7 and 8, 2025. The only ever artist permitted to record there was country and folk singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker for his 1973 album Viva Terlingua!
The 14-track live album honors Walker's legacy and features performances by Green, Jerry's son Django Walker, and fellow singer-songwriters Cory Morrow and Ray Wylie Hubbard.
"Those two nights in Luckenbach were more magical than I think any of us could have imagined," said Django Walker in the release. "From the joy of the crowd to the songs and how they turned out."
The album includes live performances of Green's signature songs "Carry On," "Three Days," "Southbound 35," and "Wave on Wave," plus covers of the late Jerry Jeff Walker's "Sangria Wine" and "Mr. Bojangles," performed by his son.
