Microsoft is working on and testing several Windows 11 changes that will be introduced as part of the November Patch Tuesday update.

One of the new features is Accelerated App Launch, a performance feature that’s designed to make the Edge browser launch faster. According to Microsoft, the improvement is especially noticeable when the computer is handling several demanding tasks simultaneously.

Windows privacy settings are also being revamped. Permissions for the camera, microphone, and location data are being organized in a clearer way and presented with information on how they’re used. If you haven’t already, tweak all the ways Windows 11 collects your personal data.

Microsoft is also improving power management on laptops. The Adaptive Hibernate feature adjusts when the computer enters hibernation based on the battery level, which should help extend battery life without making the computer unnecessarily slow to wake up. In the meantime, if you struggle with Windows power consumption on a laptop, use this one-click method that could double battery life easily.
